Step 2) California Law Requires You to Register as a Home Care Aide aka Care Giver

Please click on the button below to complete the online registration for your Home Care Aide. You will be charged a $35.00 fee for registering. In addition, you are required to complete a Live Scan as part of your registry. (If you are currently on the registry, do not repeat this step). Each registered home care aide is seen as an independent aide and must be associated if hired. You will receive a letter from the State of California that determines if you can work as a home care aide. This may take a week to several months depending on your background check.

To complete the registry please follow the provided link below which will include instructions for your Live Scan. The registry and the live scan will be paid for by you as you are an independent by CA Law. The registry and live scan should be completed on the same day. (Print out the paid page and the congratulates page with your H. C. A. number). We will help you through this process.

When you receive your letter from the H. C. B. and we decide you are a candidate to hire we will send an offer through our system. Upon your acceptance, we will have you come to our office to complete our hiring process. When hired by our agency, you will be associated with our organization and then reimbursed for these expenses after your probationary period. If you are working for more than our agency you will only be reimbursed part of these expenses when hired.

Step 3) Training after hire

You will be assigned a login ID and a password to our training site from our office. You will be assigned five initial hours of training. During your first year, you will be expected to complete twelve hours of training online, then you will be expected to complete ongoing during your time of employment. Training is also offered while on the site and in the office.
